Deep in the forest a large stallion galloped along the maze of trees, picking up speed with each moments pass. He came to a clearing where the trees became sparse and the once-damp muddy dirt was now course sand that scratched against his hooves.
His emerald eyes gazed at the new land before him. He slowed to a near-halt and trotted up to a breath-taking lake and lowered his head to drink the icy cold waters.
About twenty feet away from him was a pretty palomino with gorgeous blue eyes. She was about knee high in the water and was splashing about.
The stallion paused. Then, he shouted, "Hey there!"
The little mare turned around and jumped back in shock. It had been months since she had seen another horse. A live one at least. "H-hi." she stammered nervously.
"My names Running River, but you can call me Riv if you would like." the blue roan said confidently.
"Nice to meet you." she said, starting to collect herself again. "My name's Rainfeather. Or Rain works too."
The two horses chatted from a distance for quite some time, waiting to see who else might show up.

A gourgeous colored mare stepped lightly through the trees into a calming area. She tossed her mane lightly and spotted a large blue lake, well, it's hard to miss! Easy strides took her into the clearing and before she could slow her lope, her head was already lowered ready to glug some water. Kazana had been thirsty all morning, and was eager to get something into her stomach. As her muzzle dipped into the cooling water, she let it spill delightly down her throat. With another toss of her dark mane, she roase her head noticing a pair in the distance.
A beautiful palomino mare with a golden pelt, and a handsome stag with an interesting gray grulla pelt covering muscular build. It seemed like they were ripping through a conversation, and Kazana thought she'd join in. She roase her gray-ish pelted neck and had her snout in the air. The mare let a soft nicker stream out of her mouth hoping to find it's way to the others. BTW, I saw the picture of Running River, he's not a blue roan, his brown-ish, gray pelt that shows a shine of blue-ish, is called grulla! That's the color of Kazana as well.
